Celtic vs Lask Linz Highlights & Replay

The stage was set for a high-stakes encounter on 2026-08-19 as Celtic played host to LASK Linz in the UEFA Champions League. With European ambitions on the line, both sets of players emerged into a cauldron of noise, ready to battle for every inch of grass.

Clinical LASK Seize Control

The opening exchanges were tense, but it was the visitors who showed a more clinical edge in front of goal. In the 26th minute, Benjamin Nygren broke the deadlock with a composed finish that stunned the home crowd. Celtic attempted to muster a response, moving the ball quickly through midfield, but they found it difficult to break down a resilient Austrian defensive line.

The pressure from LASK told again before the halftime whistle. In the 38th minute, Camilo Duran found space in the box to double the lead, leaving the hosts with a mountain to climb. The visitors went into the break with a commanding two-goal cushion, having dominated the key moments of the first half.

Duran Doubles Up to Seal Victory

As the second half began, Celtic introduced Reo Hatate in hopes of sparking a comeback. However, any momentum the Hoops hoped to build was snuffed out in the 67th minute. Benjamin Nygren turned provider, delivering a precise assist for Camilo Duran, who made no mistake in netting his second goal of the night.

A series of tactical substitutions followed, with Liam Scales and Anthony Ralston entering the fray for Celtic, while LASK brought on fresh legs in the form of Alessandro Schoepf and Christoph Lang. Despite a late yellow card for Kasper Joergensen, the visitors remained disciplined until the final whistle, securing a professional and emphatic win on the road.
